Hello
Hello ;)
Thank you for visiting our blog!
This blog is written by 2 Japanese university girls as a part of class.
we chose "LGBT" as a theme.
we would like to talk and think about the theme deeply.
Do you know what is "LGBT"?
It stands for Lasbian, Gay, Bisexual and trasgender.
According to Dentsu's study,
it is said that about 7.6 % of people in Japan recognize themselves as LGBT.
It is the same amount of people who are left handed.
You may be suprised to know so many people are LGBT in Japan.
A lot of people hide it and are distressed.
We hope this blog helps people to know more about LGBT
and make confortable world for LGBT people.
LOVE.
LGBT issue is now one of the biggest issues and movements in the world. I think almost every society faces the issue. As long as there is sexuality, there is the issue. However, that is the point. LGBT people struggle because there is sexuality. It’s like social roles, if you are born as a male, you are socially required to act as a male, and if you are a female, you are required to act as a female. If these requirements didn’t exist, people could live the way they want, be who they really want to be, and love whoever they love. Loving one your love and being yourself aren’t sins at all. It’s one of human rights I think.
返信削除I didn’t know LGBT until I read this blog. These days I often see gay people on TV, and they don’t hide it. They open their mind. I respect them, because it is very privacy thing, they might don’t to be known that fact. I guess there are a lot of people who have some worry about their sex. We should make society more comfortable for them. To do that, what we can do first is to understand these people. Some people discriminate such people, but it is time to know their mine. I want to know more current things through this blog, thank you.
返信削除I actually didn't know about LGBT until I got into highschool becuase there weren't people who taught us about those people and perspectives. I feel that lot of LGBT people is still hiding their identity in Japan and are not getting enough suppport from the country. I think Japan has narrow view to the issues related to LGBT. I feel it is important for us to have broad mind and feeling of repects to LGBT people too! Lot of LGBT people feels scared of telling the truth because some people look at them in a different way. I think theres not much difference between us.
返信削除LGBT issue is one of the most serious problems in the world we have to think about, but I didn't really know before studying about it in the university class. I think Japan is not comfortable environment for LGBT people compared to foreign countries. There is still some prejudice or stereotypes toward LGBT people in Japan. Additionally, I think one big cause is that luck of knowledge about them. Many people in Japan don't really know about them. That's why some of them don't accept those who are different from themselves. However, being different is not bad. It is natural each of us are different and we have to respect each other.
